Hi Garrett! It's Mrs. Butler. I am so happy to hear of the progress you have made over the past couple of days. I continue to think of you and pray for you as each day passes. Can't wait to see that smile in school:) God bless you with continued progress. Love, Mrs. Butler

Hello Parkers! Just wanted you to know we check daily on this wonderful site! You continue to be in our hearts and foremost in our prayers! Sounds like you have lots of positive moments to hold on to and to help you navigate through the day! One miracle at a time! We always start our prayers for Garrett with thanks -- Thank you Lord that he is with us and making progress! Please embrace his family with Your love and support throughout Garrett's recovery. Love, Betty, Rick, Dan and Matt Roble (How are you doin' Jordie!?)

Garrett ~ It's so great to hear about all the progress you've made. I really wish that I would have made an attempt to talk to you while I was still going to the church. As I keep on learning how to drive I think about you. I know that what has happened to you will make me think. I know your going to pull through this and your going to be ok. Your a strong person and God is on your side. Just know that everyone is praying for you and behind you all the way. ~KARLA S~

Hello Garrett and Parker Family. We are encouraged to hear of Garrett's progress and pray that he,and all of you, will be strong through his rehabilitation. Perhaps you heard about another Latrobe graduate who had a rappelling accident about one year ago in Ohio. That was our son, Jason, who is now about to return to college for his junior year! We feel that his age, physical condition, determination, and the power of prayer helped tremendously during the past 11 months of rehabilitation and recovery. Garrett's injuries sound a bit similar to Jason's. The most serious was a traumatic brain injury along with a fractured skull, broken collarbone, and fractured femur. Although our son was hospitalized at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio and his treatment for the brain injury was somewhat different, it seems like your family will be facing the same concerns, joys, frustrations, hopes, and fears that our family has. We would like to encourage you to never stop praying--Jason's progress is viewed as miraculous by many and seeing him today may make you think the same! He completed physical, occupational, and speech therapies, both in-patient and out-patient when we returned home from the hospital. At times, it seemed like we faced a long and frightening road. But we survived and he succeeded and we never stopped praying. We asked God for healing and we thanked him for each bit of progress and for the fact that the situation wasn't any worse. During Jason's therapy sessions we saw many people, young and old, who were so much worse off than he was. Please be encouraged by this information and feel free to e-mail us with any concerns your family may have. God bless you all and keep you strong during the coming months. The Lanza Family(Joe, Donna, & Jason)jdlanza@pghmail.com

HEY MAN, CAN'T WAIT TILL YOUR BETTER SO WE CAN TALK AGAIN. I WAS GLAD THAT WE WERE ABLE TO STOP BY FOR A VISIT. STAY STRONG AND DON'T GIVE UP. GET WELL, TODD EISEMAN.

Dear Garrett, I doubt if you can place a face to my name, but I always notice when you are in church. You seem like such a wonderful, happy young man. And any time you or your sister have had a special part in the service, I would just see their faces beaming in pride. You are blessed to have been raised in such a loving home, so hurry back to them and to your church family who also love and care for you. Mrs. Janet McNees

Hi Garrett! It's Melissa Boerio. It was so encouraging to see you sitting up the other day, and then to come home and read that you had partially opened your eyes for your mom, and were continuing to respond by squeezing your hand. Mrs. Butler and I were sure you were hearing us; it seemed like you were really struggling to show us you could, and that made me cry with joy for you and your family. We all continue to pray for you daily, and for your family too as you all work through this. With God's grace you will make a full recovery and lead the life you were meant to have in the richness of His love. Hugs from me and Megan, and love to you all.

Garrett, Larry, Dottie and Jordan, We're so happy that the last few days have been encouraging for all of you...and for all of us! The Lord is good! We think of and pray for you daily and will see you again soon! Love, Ed, Nancy and Jill
