Hey Garrett! As always- I'm checking up on you! So glad to hear your doing better. Just stay strong! Jessica Blice

Dottie, I'm so glad I had a chance to talk to you at the football game. Just wanted to let you know that you are in our prayers and thoughts. Anita Pohland

The first football game seemed lost without you! You are always in my heart and prayers! love, Mandi

Garrett, What a wonderful way to start off a football season! It was great to see two teams come together like that. I think about you everyday and pray for a complete recovery. I am working at the high school this year, instead of at the elementary schools, and I hear the kids talking about you every day. They really love you Garrett, and it makes me very happy to see that so many people care about you. You have always been a wonderful person, and I am very proud of you. Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see you! Dottie, Larry, and Jordy: Stay strong and know that we are all praying for your family. If you need anything, please call us. You know we would do anything for you! Love, Tina Lancianese and Shirley

Hurray for #60 your making an awesome comeback the news of how well you're doing is amazing. Keep fighting for your goal of recovery. This time your goal is a little bit different than the field goals of the football games but you can do it. Just as I've watched you kick many awesome field goals throughout your High School Career I'll be praying for you now as you strive to reach this new goal of recovery. Lindsay Burd

Garrett is a sensational kid with amazing abilities. For the past few years he has captured the attention of many Latrobe football fans on the field. Even though he is off the field this year he is still capturing the attention of Latrobeans. What an inspiration he is. Working hard everyday to accomplish his own hurdles. There is no way that he is aware of the dynamics of emotions that he is creating. Garrett please realize the parallels to what you are going through to that of a football game~~~~~Forward motion get you closer to the goal. Some plays may not seem big, but they are all necessary for the march down the field. Some days you may make more progress than others- they are all very needed to help you to recover. Know that you are very loved and admired in this community. Your' absence on the field was obvious, as was your presence in the hearts of your teammates and classmates. We will see you soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday nights pregame show by the band was a special moment that no one there will soon forget. The sounds of bagpipes were incredible-realizing the purpose of the whole show was awesome. The fact that two teams that were once huge rivals were completely united for Garrett and the Parker family was great. The willingness to help that is being displayed by the young people needs to be recognized and commended. Reading the messages form Garrett's friends and classmates is inspirational. We all look forward to reading the progress reports that Garrett is making. It was very good to see Larry on the field Friday night. Theda Parke

I would like to again wish the entire Parker family well. Progress is always a good thing and there are many of us who are eager to read the updates for this progress. I would additionally like to take a moment to commend that many young people that are consistently leaving messages for Garrett and his family. ~Words are powerful~.

Hey Pork, I just wanted to let you know that I was thinking about you Friday Night. The performance the bands created for you, was amazing, it touched me in a way that I don't think I have ever been touched before. The sound of the bag pipes playing Amazing Grace, was unreal. I couldn't hold back the tears, knowing that you are there... and we are here. It was an amazing performance, and it was all done for you. we are all here for you, Latrobe and Derry. I know you were there with us Friday, it was all for you. You are a special guy Pork, keep up with the progress. Everything is going to turn out fine. Things weren't the same on the team without you.... I mean what other kicker boots the ball on opening kick off and flies down the field craving for that "Big Hit" like you did. Keep fighting this.... I cant wait to read about ur improvements. We all miss you # 60. Hang in there --------- Murph
