It's Thursday evening and I'm returning home from the rehab. Garrett is working hard to recover but still needs lots of sleep. I took him outside today in his chair and I asked him if he liked it outside and he squeezed his eyes shut tight. Then I asked him if he wanted me to take him inside and he raised his eyebrows. It must have been too much for him - but I was thrilled he was communicating with me. I just wanted to thank Michael Jones for the wonderful thing he did last Friday night at the Latrobe Derry football game. It touched our hearts to see Latrobe and Derry come together for Garrett. Michael, you are a special person and your parents should be proud of you. Thank you very much. I enjoyed seeing everyone Friday evening and certainly appreciate everyone's support and prayers. Please keep the messages and prayers coming. They keep me going and I know the prayers are working. We love you all. Dottie

I love you, bud. Stay strong. I'm praying for you! Love ya, Kimberly Mills P.S:Your my third brother and I don't want John Myers to take your spot (nobody can!)!

We are so happy to hear about all of the progress that has been made. You all continue to be in our thoughts and prayers on a daily basis. Our church is still praying for you all as well. We look forward to the opportunity to see you all SOON! Keep up the FAITH! Love and Prayers, Bill, Cindy, Brandon, Kayla, & Krista.

Dear Garrett. I can imagine the many feelings your having going through the stand up machines. Sometimes they make you feel really good that your doing it for every one and other times you get very frustrated that you have to use a machine to help you. We all felt that way in therapy but just know that each time it does get a lot easier. And before you know it you'll be standing up on your own...Hang in there and keep up the tough work.. The next machine they'll make you master is the rowing machine. Its like a bicycle only you work it with your hands. I absolutely hated it as did the other patients in rehab, so hang in there...Carlene

Garrett & family - - - You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers while on this journey to wholeness and recovery. The WEPT church family has been praying for you as well!! We're so encouraged with the reports of your steady progress and how far you've come already, and we look forward to more of the same!! Dave's folks have moved to TX . . . they have been living with us for a week now until their stuff arrives and we move them into their house on Sat. Texas will never be the same with so many 'Batchelders' on the scene!! The BIGNESS of Texas reminds us of the BIGNESS of your heart . . . keep up the good work. God has blessed you with the gift of continued life as well as the love and support of family and many friends. Remember always that you are a disciple of Jesus Christ and you belong to God! Grace and peace . . . and journey blessings!! God bless, Nancy B. and family

Dottie, Larry, and Jordan -- Great news on Garrett! Mark and I will try to come to rehab this weekend! It is so uplifting knowing the progress he is making! Keep the faith! Love -- Vicky

Larry, Dottie and Jordan - We feel badly that we haven't gotten down this week to see Garrett. It's just been one of those weeks ~ will make it for sure next week. Garrett, we're so excited to hear about all the great progress you are making and can't wait to witness it for ourselves. Our prayers continue to be for you and your recovery ~ they certainly have been working!! We're all a little impatient to have you back with us, but it will happen in God's time, not ours. He knows the plan he has for you. Keep up the good work and we will plan to see you next week. Larry, Dottie and Jordan, we will let you know what day in case anyone needs a ride. Love you all! Karen and Gary

Hi guys! Not a day goes by when we do not pray for Garrett. He is often in my thoughts and I know that through everyone's continued prayers that the G-Man will be back at full strength before we know it. This is where his strong faith will speak loud and clear. This is where you realize (I'm sure you have already) the support and love for Garrett. Please tell him how much we love him and that he is in our thoughts and prayers. We will plan to visit soon. I wanted to let your family breathe a little and enjoy his progress. We'll be there when you need us. Love the Palloto's

Hey, I am so glad to hear that you are responding. I talked to my Mom and my sister today and they told me to read your web page and I said that I already had! I was so excited to hear that! I keep praying everyday for you and I know that everyone else is too! Mr. Parker, Mrs. Parker and Jordan, I am so happy to hear he is doing well! If you ever need anything call us you know our number! I am going to try and come up to visit this month. It is really hard with school though! With Love, Ali

Garrett, Jordan, Larry, Dottie, We are so glad to read about Garrett's progress. Our thoughts and prayers are with you daily. We all worked last Friday for the football game except Nick who said the tribute to Garrett was wonderful!! Take Care Tracey, Gina, Anthony, Nick Gigliotti

Hi Garrett! It's Mrs. Butler. I was inspired yesterday by the article in the Bulletin about Jason Lanza. Although the circumstances are slightly different there are many similarities in your stories. As I am with you, Jason and I were and still are very close. This is the second time in the last year that I have watched someone very special to me have to go through this struggle. However, I have witnessed God's miraculous work through Jason and now through you! Jason is a walking miracle, thanks to a huge amount of prayer and determination. I know that you too will beat this thing. It takes time - a huge amount of time but you have the will and the strength to do it! I read the messages to you every single day and of course most of them bring tears to my eyes - this community is bonded for one special cause - YOU! The student body misses you, prays for you, share stories about you, and are awaiting the day that they can see you walking down the hallway toward them. It will happen - in God's time - but it will happen. We all love and miss you:) Love, Mrs. B.
