What a wonderful journal. Someday Garrett will read all these daily messages and he will be amazed! We all have a purpose for being on this Earth.....Is Garrett's to bring people together and realize that there is so much more to life than material things????? Love, prayer, ..some from friends, relatives, and some from total strangers to Garrett and his family. It's so good to read his mother's messages and to see how much Garrett has improved since his accident. The comments from everyone to Garrett and his family bring tears, joy, laughter, and most certainly a renewed belief that people do care about each other. Continue the good work Garrett. Nothing happens in our time, but everything happens in God's time. I don't know you personally, but from reading all the messages to you, I know I would be proud to call you my son!!! KG

Garrett - After another weekend with you, I am so proud of you and how hard you work. We had many visitors this weekend which allowed Jordan, Larry and I a chance to get a bite to eat and take a little step away from you. I think sometimes people think you are awake because you are progressing so well, but I want everyone to know that you are not quite with us yet. Even though your eyes are open and you are doing so much - you are almost like in a dream state. Today, when you kissed me it brought happy tears to my eyes. I know that God is with you and it won't be long now. You are an inspiration to me and so many others. Again I want to thank everyone for their messages, prayers, and support. I know God is with us but it is nice to know so many others are with us too. Seth, I can't tell you how great it was to see you today - I love you. Always, Dottie

Garrett- Hey bud! It was great to see you today! And I'm so glad you are brushing your hair and teeth! That's great! I was glad I got a chance to spend time with you today, even though you were kicking me! Those legs still got some power! Hang in there and I'll see you next week! Love, Sarah D! And Jordy- keep bothering Garrett! You know he appreciates it so much!

Garrett- Just got home a little while ago..and I have thought ALOT about you today..I mean I always think about you...but today was more than usual...I heard a song while driving that reminded me of you..and then went to church and prayed for you..came home..and I should be doing my homework right now..but my mind isn't concentrating on school work..I know it's because I miss you THAT much..as days go by..I miss you even more...I treasure the memories that we shared..and all the fun times we had together..I miss your laugh and smiles..I miss your little remarks that you say..well I guess I just plainly miss YOU!..You have such a GREAT personality and I know no one even compares..You are making it through this bud..and I can't wait for you to be able to look back on it and say..it has only made me stronger..cuz I know you will be able to say that one day..it's going to take time though...as your Dad told us when I was down there last...It's like you have a belt around your ankles..you can't make BIG steps..but the little improvements are GREAT also..I'll be down this Saturday with the Prides'..I can't wait to see you..Love ya tons..and I think about you non-stop.. -Ann Graham

Garrett dear, yesterday was a wonderful day for both of us. We were with you all day. You were able to show us some of your purposeful movements, such as washing your face, brushing your teeth and fixing your glasses on your face. You followed a few commands, which is always encouraging to us. Your eyes were wide open when we arrived and stayed open until you became exhausted from all of the stimulation that you were getting, both physically and mentally. We really felt that you needed us and it was a privilege for us to spend the day with you. God loves you and is working with you for your recovery. It won't be long now until you will be fully awake. We love you dearly, PopPop and Baba

To the Parker family, We continue our prayers and, as always, we're your cheering section along with everyone else who Garrett has touched. The Dankos
