Garrett - As I drove home (thank you Andy and Bob for the vehicle so I can come back and forth) from the rehab tonight I thanked the Lord for all the blessings he has given us. I also asked him to continue to hold your hand as you make a full recovery. Today you followed two and three part commands in speech therapy. I was so proud of you. As the day went on I knew you were tired and you needed your rest. I don't mean to push you too hard, but you need to work hard to come back to us. You are such an inspiration to me. You even blew a kiss to Emily Steeley when she was being shy. Even though you were exhausted you threw the football with Mick and rested your leg on Shawtel's leg and spoke to them. I also took in mashed potatoes today and you seemed to enjoy them. We are starting soft foods but only for pleasure. Garrett still needs the feeding tube for nourishment. I want to thank everyone again, but a special thanks to Donna Decker. You are a true friend and working so hard for Garrett and us - I really appreciate your hugs. Please continue to visit, pray and leave message. Our prayers are being answered and your visits and messages make my day. Love, Dottie

Hi Garrett, I really badly miss you. Because I want to do fireworks with you. I made a lot already of fireworks. And I also miss you fun laugh. I hope you get better soon. I love you! Eric Mills

Garrett~ It's so great to hear that your doing so well. There was an article about you in the High Post at school. I didn't get to read the whole thing, but what I did read was good. Everyone misses you. Especially Dave. Hopefully someone will bring a copy of the paper to you so that it can be read to you. Just remember God started this journey with you and he's going to finish it!! Be strong and keep up your great progress!! ~Karla~

Garrett, It truly is amazing how God works within such an amazing human being like yourself to recover as you have so far. You are so strong both physically and in your faith, both of which I believe helped you throughout all of this. I have been praying for you and of course will continue to pray for you! Also thank God for the doctors and the WONDERFUL work that they have done so far and are continuing to do, never forget "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13 PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

Garrett and Dottie, It was nice visiting both of you. Garrett you truly are donig an amazing job there. You are clearly hard at work each day. Dottie you are very dedicated to helping Garrett on his road to recovery and should be commended. We were happy to see both of you doing well. Remember Latrobe is here for you, ready to help whenever and however the need may be. Looking forward to our next visit. Megan and Theda Parke

Garrett- Hey bud! I can't even begin to describe how great it was to see you on Sunday!! I was nervous at first, not really sure what to expect; but I could tell it's really you just by being around you. You had some great throws with that football... you'll start knocking ppl over soon! ;^) Your strength has been showing through all along, but even more so right now. I can see your fighting spirit wanting to snap you out of this. Just keep up the good work, you are doing so well! It's so wonderful to read about your progress on this website. I check it daily, whenever I check my email...which is alot! It was so great to meet your parents and sister, too; now I know where all your humor and strength comes from!! Dottie, Larry, and Jordan- you're constantly in prayers. It was so wonderful to meet you, and I really admire your strength and optimistic outlook... he WILL be walking in no time!! Much luv and God Bless, Ashley Young

Sorry for not writing more often. We have been checking the web site everyday and are happy that prayers are working. Keep up the good work garrett and hang in there Larry, Dottie and Jorden. May God be with you and give you strength. Evert & Cherokee

Garrett, it was fantastic to hear you saying "thank you" and "bye" by the phone, I know you are working hard for your recovery, still doing the same way, and remember that you are not by yourself, you have a big family that includes your own and all the friends that care for you in different places and are praying for you, and the most important, God is beside you all the time, the proof is that you are progressing little by little, that is what it count!! We are still coming from Virginia to see you the middle of this month, believe me, we are looking to see you as well as your family! see you soon Eduardo & family

Garrett, You looked awesome yesterday buddy!! It was great to see you! I love throwing the football with you! Keep up all that hard work! Love, Sarah D
