It's wonderful to read the latest updates. I shared your story as a testimony at a church service here on Sunday night as our church has been praying for you all along. From Garrett's involvement with the SS kids, Jordan's daily visits, Larry's outstanding personality and outreach through work and your new beliefs, Dottie, it makes a miraculous story. Which really came first? The community's love and support or your family's special place in Latrobe? However God made it all, it is all good. And those of us who know you and are witnesses to all you've experienced are truly blessed. Thank you. All praise and glory to God the Father for the strength He has given you. I'll be in touch. Mary Helen
Garrett I coming along so well…He still has the funny side to him…Today someone asked him what he was wearing under his sweatpants during the accident and he jus started laughing…Hmmm…What do u think he had on…? Today I was there during lunch I got to help feed him…He made me laugh so many times…We had to make sure he swallowed his food so we told him to make noises like clearing his throat and stuff…But he was starving he wanted to eat it all in like 2 secs and go to bed…so we would tell him after each noise to clear his throat or talk…so he would eat a bite and do it before we would tell him o we would go quicker or he would do it so loud so we wouldn’t have to tell him to say it louder…He is all there…He says funny things all of the time like today h kept telling m a meteor was coming and wouldn’t talk about something else he told me he wanted to write something so he wrote “Meteor Coming” He ca be so sensitive some times when we where taking a picture one time we put a little child on his lap and he held the knowing they were a child but goofing off one day he put me in a headlock…He is so there he knows who he can be rough with and who he cant…He randomly calls for my mom and I when he is lonely or bored…I know Garrett ad I didn’t always see eye to eye (well he as a lot taller than I) I always loved him and still do… Jordan Parker*
Garrett, I am so proud of you hun! Keep up the good work, and keep reaching for the stars. I keep up with all the news of how your doing, and everyday its getting better and better. These improvements are AWESOME!!!! Your doing such an awesome job pork, each day there is so much more that you can do. I miss you, and I can't wait to come down and see you again! Love, Megan D
Hey Garrett I just wanted to say hey and I miss and love ya buddie! I keep hearing, well seeing all these awesome things you've been doing on here. Either in people's messages, or the news on how you're doing. So I saw you wanted to get online? haha and you said a prayer? That's awesome, I can't wait to witness these miracles for myself. Only 10 more days, I'm counting down! Man I haven't seen you smile in what like 8 months. I miss it! This week is so hectic and I can't wait until it's over (Homecoming Week- and I'm in charge of activities, on top of FCA meetings and Varsity Club meetings, Powderpuff, and homework, and thinking about you!) But I never miss a day of checking the website to see how you're doing. My day wouldn't be right if I didn't. But I have to go study and do some more homework, so I'll write ya later. Stay strong and keep fighting, all of you Parkers! The bump you have hit on this road keeps getting flatter and flatter everyday! Keep it up G! Love always Liz H.
Hey Garrett, I ran into your Dad this weekend and told me how things are going! I'm so happy to hear the improvements! I knew you could do it and so did everyone else! Keep working hard and it will all pay off in the long run! Your in my prayers! Ashley Heckel
Hi Garrett, it's Mrs. Richards. I haven't been able to check your progress since our computer crashed a few weeks ago. We finally got it back. Dave has been giving us updates and I couldn't wait to check them out on-line for myself! I can't tell you how happy I am for you and your entire family! And to read that you will be coming home within a week or two, well, it's an absolute miracle of God! (I passed your grandparents' house today on my way to Bethel Church Road and I said a little prayer for them, too. I love your pap, he reminds me of mine.) And one thing you should know, which I'm sure you do, is that all the prayers that have been said have made it to God, and God has heard them all. God bless you, Garrett! Love to your family! Mrs. Richards
Hello Garrett, I am so glad to hear that you are coming home soon! I talked to your Dad at the football game and I got chills when he said you were coming home soon. Keep up the good work and it will pay off soon and the way it looks, it is already starting to pay off. Next time I come home and if you will up to visitors, my sister and I will stop over and see you. When we stop over, Larry and Dottie you guys go eat something to eat or relax and we will help Garrett. Take care all of you. Love you, Alicia Heckel
