As another school year begins for me on Monday and I look towards my junior year, I know a lot of students at LHS won't be so happy. I know how not having someone in school effects people. In my high school years thus far, I've dealt with 3 suicides and a girl dying in a fatal car accident (just on the 30th of July). An empty seat in the classroom. A missing football player at the "jock" table at lunch. A missed laugh or silly comment. But remember this: Garrett is improving. He isn't gone, I like to think he's missing in action. So keep praying, I sure do! Keep up the good work! Jessica Blice

Garrett- I was hoping that could have came down to see you before school started but I didn't get the chance to =( ...but I hope that I will soon...You have been in my prayers daily and so has your family...I know that you will make it out of this..however it will take time!!...I can't wait for us to go water skiing again and all that stuff that we did..like pillow fights...I miss ya a lot and hope to be able to come up to see you soon!!! I'm soo sorry that I haven't made it up by this time yet..but every time I have made plans to, my mom has to do something or something has happened that I couldn't make it up...sorry..but I promise I'll try to make it up there as soon as possible..I miss ya bud and have been praying for you..you have a wonderful family and great friends behind you..It's gonna take a while but I'm sure you are gonna be the Garrett that everyone always knew...love ya bud and hope to see you soon!! love Ann Graham =)

Garrett, We have been praying for you and your family and have been checking the website everyday for your progress. The progress is slow, but the direction is correct, UPHILL! We'll continue to keep you in our prayers and thoughts. Keep trying!!! Bob, Ellen, and Janice Piper

As I left the rehab last night I know that God is with us and Garrett and will remain with us. I get such peace reading the messages everyone sends to us. What a wonderful church, great friends and a terrific community. Larry, Jordy and I can't thank everyone enough for their thoughts, prayers and cards. I'm a little tardy on my thank you notes, but please be patient. We love you all and please keep up the prayers - we know they are working. Love Dottie

Garrett, We are praying and thinking about you daily. We know in our hearts you will get better. GOD BLESS YOU! The Sorice's

Life often hands us hard blows to deal with. I just hope that there are lessons being learned and remembered by others. Garrett is an outstanding youth both in and out of school. His path has temporarily taken another course. Even in this situation Garrett continues to be a fine example to his peers and others. The road to success may not be measured this year by a distance through the uprights, however, Garrett, we have confidence that he will meet his new goals of success with equal dedication. Remember youths Larry is right there is speed on the road. Often as in this case it didn't get where he needed to go faster. No one is infallible!!! Don't just feel badly for Garrett and the Parkers, rather, remember the lesson that Garrett has taught you.

It's not the speed of progress that is important, rather that progress continues. We are encouraged by the updates given to us. We can hope and pray for the best recover possible for Garrett.
