Garrett the improvement in your health and actions is so amazing to read, it shows that God does really answer our prayers he is there watching over all of us. I am so pleased to hear you are doing much better since I last saw you. Keep fighting and being strong, I no you have it in you to be a winner. You've showed us all on the football field how great a winner you can be, continue to show us now! LINDSAY BURD

Just heard about Garret at the Master Gardener meeting tonight. I know that Garret is a fighter, and with all the love and prayers offered up for him, he soon will be back helping his Grandfather again. God bless you and keep you in His loving care. Peggy Milliron

Pork, Hey bud, I haven't written to you in a long time and I'm sorry for that, I've been pretty busy with football as you probably know. I want you to know that you are a great friend, and in homeroom, it's not the same without you there.... I mean one day, ur hair is all messed up and ur head is down on the desk, and ur sleeping, other days... you were jumping around.. ha-ha you are a great person, I'm so glad to hear about your progress, yet I'm so sad that something like this has happened to someone like you... I still can not get over it. Practices aren't the same when you hear Coach Murray yell, "PAT". (Don't get me wrong Palko and Mills are doing a great job for us, but everyone knows that you were our special teams weapon.) Sometimes it just gets frustrating looking back and not seeing you there. We haven't been down to see you lately, but know that we all have not forgotten about you. I'm glad that they have you back on ur feet again, you'll pull around soon! When I get time in my schedule, I will be down to see you. The first game is Friday.... Know that I will be playing every down not only for the team, but especially for a great friend/teammate. You. I am waiting for your return. I'll see you soon, I know it. Peace out here's a band that you got me listening to, and this song seems to fit perfect: New Found Glory-Sonny "I'm sorry I heard about the bad news today A crowd of people around you Telling you it's ok And everything happens for a reason When you lose a part of yourself to somebody you know It takes a lot to let go Every breath that you remember Pictures fade away, but memory's forever" I'll never let go or stop praying for you though, neither will anyone else, we're all by ur side Pork. Dottie and Larry, I just want to let you know that I admire you for being such great parents/people, only if there were a lot more people out there like you two. If there is anything you two need let me or my mother know. Nathan Murphy

My family and I have just recently learned about this horrific event Garrett and your family is going through. I do not attend your church or know your son at all, but in a sense I feel as if I do know Garrett on some level. That is only because Larry has talked so highly of him while taking my senior picture. I do not know if you remember who I am Larry. You always told me that my eyes had to be fake when you'd take my picture because they are, I guess you would say, "aqua". (Maybe that bit of information can jog your memory and put a face with this letter.) Since you have been such a huge part of Kiski Area High School for such a long time, I feel as if I should do something to help your son and your family. I am trying my very best to set up a donation for Garrett sponsored by Key Club. We have not had our first meeting yet but as soon as we have our first one, I promise to run this idea by and if I tell them the story, I know their hearts will go out to ya'll just like mine did. I wish Garrett all the best of luck in a quick and successful recovery. Don't give up the faith and be strong. There is good in everything, even in such an unfortunate accident. --With all my heart-- Laura Kossak, KA senior student

Dear Parker Family, Today is my day to do LPC hospital visitation and I cannot stop thinking or praying for you. We miss all of your smiling faces in the church pews but know that God has a more important place for you to be right now. We are grateful for the progress Garrett has made as we witness the notes from other on this website. We are ever hopeful that Garrett should be returned to us, by the power of God's Spirit, free from distress and renewed in mind and heart made whole in the name of the risen Christ. AMEN This is for Garrett: Garrett, the kids started school this Monday past. As I watched them climb aboard the bus, laughing and clowning around, I thought of you and your kindred Spirit. You have been such a mentor to the youth and kids at LPC. Always, you offered a wrestling hug, gentle punch, and smile while lifting some little guy in the air. Do you realize how they look up to you? Can you still see their returned smile and pride on their face after knowing the "town's football hero" just lifted them up high? Did you know how grateful, we as parents are, that our sons and daughters should have such a tangible piece of God's creation holding them up high? And the clear message that persists to both the young and old of our congregation ~ Garrett chooses to walk in the Light of the Lord! You are a light in all of our lives, dear Garrett. Though we are unable to respond to each other at this time, we are secure that Christ's love for you is unfailing. We pray to God, that the skills given to those that care for you, will help restore you to health and joy. All of this is prayed so that together we might better serve Christ our Savior. We hope to see you soon. All our love, The Houghs, Karen, Ken, & Gus

We have not stopped thinking of Garrett and the strength and love of his amazing family since our visit with Garrett, Dottie and Jordan last week. You are in our thoughts, hearts and prayers daily. Stay strong and positive. The accomplishments will keep coming. God Bless.......Dot and Macey
