Garrett's Dad has a post today.

Dear Garrett, It was wonderful to experience the love and hope that all of Latrobe&Derry have for your recovery. Aubree watched much of the game from a video camera for the senior video and I pray that she, along with your other video production classmates, captured the memorable event for you. It was truly amazing to see the team raise their helmets to the marching band and fans in the stands, after their victory ... you could feel the affection they have for you ... it was everywhere honey. Your father's program was beautiful and inspiring. Keep up the hard work & your spirits ... we're all rooting for our #60 Wildcat!!! ~Aubree & Ashton Mancuso's mama

To Garrett and the Parker family, I went to Latrobe High School so I was a Wildcat Fan. My son played for Derry so then I was a Trojan fan. Last nights game was for Garrett, and his team won for him. It was very obvious though that all the fans there were united, whether Trojan or Wildcat, for Garrett. What a wonderful friend, son, brother, grandson, you must be. It's great to read daily of your progress. Prayers will continue to be said and God does hear them. Sue G.

Garrett we all know you are a special person. Who else could have brought two towns into 1 community to pray for one purpose--your recovery. Phil came down from PSU to be there for you. You and your family are always in our thoughts and prayers. Keep strong! Love, The Stouts

Garrett- I'm so glad to hear that you are doing so well!!..I think it's amazing as I was reading other people's messages how much the people of your communities and nearby communities are there for you!!...that's a lot of support and I know that you will be fine...I just found out that one of my friends back here in CLEARFIELD just got in a car accident...and they don't think that she is going to make it..she only has a 10% chance of living..and now I'm too scared to start driving..I tell all my friends around here to stop driving so fast and to make sure you wear your seat belts because I do not need any more of my friends hurt...but I know that you will be fine...and along with all your friends and family at the game..I'll always be here for you buddy!!...I miss ya and hope to see you soon!!! love ya tons!! Last night's game was so different without hearing Garrett's name before a kick. I know everyone there whether they were from Derry and Latrobe are rooting for Garrett's recovery. It's so cool that the two school's came together for him. The rivalry isn't as bad as it was 20 years ago, but it's still there and for us to come together was awesome. I know we won the game for you too Garrett. All the players were playing the game for you. Get better. I'm going to be giving an update in my church tomorrow about you. I wish that I can keep giving good updates to them as you continue to get better. ~Karla~

Last night's game was so very different- to see two schools united on the field, sending their love, and showing their concerns together to Garrett and his family..it was all truly an amazing grace. We all had goose bumps in the stands. They made us all so very proud of each and every one on the field. And from you message Larry, you could see all the love your community and schools have for you and your son. We have all read the many messages on the computer in black and white but last night we all saw it in person and it was truly amazing grace...As was the fact that we saw you there. We can certainly see where Garrett gets all his strength to succeed each day because the strength you showed us by just being there was truly amazing. You actually helped all of us and brought warmth to our hearts. Thank you Carlene

Hi Dottie, We read your letter to the newspaper yesterday. That was nice of you to thank the community. Sadie and I truly enjoyed our time with Larry the other day and hearing you on the phone! We are so thrilled that Garrett is doing better and we pray for him daily. The Wildcats did a fine job last night, but it's not the same without Garrett. We all know that. Keep up the great progress, #60. Vicky DiMuzio

Hi Garrett and Parker family! It's Mrs. Bulter AGAIN. I just wanted to tell you that tonight was truly amazing - an entire community pulling for all of you:) Many students are driven to help Garrett and the entire family. I witness each day how students are trying to find ways to help - it is awesome. We all missed seeing #60 on the field tonight and I am sure it was hard for you all as well! I am amazed at how well you all hold yourselves together. I didn't get to see Jordan tonight but I did get a chance to briefly speak with Larry - I admire your strength. I now know where Garrett gets his strength. I continue to pray daily and as always Garrett is constantly in my thoughts. I hope to get down to visit this week. Love, Mrs. B.

Dear Latrobe & Derry Football fans, Tonight was hard on us, but knowing that Garrett has bridged backyard rivals into one voice means a great deal to us. Your concern, not just for Garrett, but for our family gives us strength to face each day. Dottie's sister, Lyn, found NSN Sports on line allowing him to listen to tonight's game. His love of God, football, his team, coaches and all people, guide us daily. I can't thank you enough, Love, Larry Parker

The kickoff of the season was tonight. It wasn't the same without #60 on the field and we all know it. I miss hearing, "and here's Garrett Parker kicking for Latrobe." It was so amazing tonight. All the support of your school, friends, community, and family. Everyone had stickers saying "kick it for Garrett" or tags and ribbons on their shirts saying "Pray for Garrett." Stands set up all over the place for donations. I saw Jordan tonight and talked to her briefly. I'm glad that she's trying to stay strong. Everyone is still here and thinking and praying for you until you get through this. I pray for you and your family often and you are also on my church's prayer list since the accident occurred. I continue checking up on this site daily and save all the newspaper clippings. I know you have a long way to go but stay strong Garrett. There are so many people here to support you. We all know what a super kid you are and also how strong your heart and soul is. Take it day by day. God Bless you Garrett, your parents and Jordan. With much love, Heather Thomas and family.
