Dear Garrett & family - upon reading the great news of your continued and remarkable progress this week we exclaim, "Rejoice . . . the Lord's name be praised!" If you're already throwing footballs, then the next step has to be 'kicking' footballs!! And if you're beginning to talk again, then the next step will be singing!! I'm sure your family and friends are thrilled to hear your voice. Remain strong and keep up the good work on your incredible comeback as there are many many people upholding you in prayer before our loving and gracious God. You're a real trooper and an inspiration to many! Grace and peace - and journey blessings. With love and best wishes from your Texas friends, The B's

Garrett - Again you have amazed me with your strength. Jill Painter, a sweetheart and the girl who was voted most spirited, called me today and asked me if she could bring her camera and have a photo taken with Garrett for the yearbook. They were taking pictures Monday at school of all the senior specials and she did not want to be photographed without Garrett. I told her yes - come on down. We asked the nurse if we could put him on the couch to take their photo and he helped us. When we were finished with the photo, the nurse and Larry supported him by the shoulders to help him back to his wheelchair. Garrett took 5 or 6 steps - they were beautiful steps. Dave Mills said move the chair back and he kept walking. The reason you amaze me is you are still not totally awake but yet you still have the drive you always had. Jordan is amazing too - a sight to be seen. She has matured so much in the past 2 months I'm not sure you will recognize her. Thank you again for all your messages and prayers. And to all those who visited this weekend - you are a blessing to Garrett and our family because Garrett knows each and everyone of you was there. God, you are great and please continue to stay with Garrett. He's coming back 100% - we'll accept nothing less and I know Garrett would want it that way. We love you all. Dottie
