Garrett - Even I, your mother, am amazed at your strength and determination. Knowing God walks with you gives me strength and determination not to let you fail. You are coming back 100%. God will guide your father, sister and I as we continue to travel this road. He will let us push you when you need pushed, support you when you need supported and let you rest when you are tired. He is a wonderful God. As I watch you speak, give hugs and kisses, and toss the football I get tears in my eyes. I am so blessed to be your mother. Again I want to thank everyone for their prayers, messages, visits and support. I couldn't have traveled this road without you. And a special thanks to Christy, our Interim Minister, for providing this webpage. It has touched me so deeply. Love, Dottie

Hi Garrett! It's Mrs. Butler:) You are one amazing young man!!! WOW - it was great seeing you today:) You brought tears to my eyes more than once!!! First, just seeing you! Second, hearing you say HI! Third, seeing you give kisses! Fourth, watching you put your glasses on! But the most amazing sight was to watch you throw that football - AMAZING! You obviously heard us and knew who we were as you were able to throw the ball to us on request! Dottie and Larry - thank you for letting us share your time with Garrett - you are both such wonderful people. God is definitely answering all of our prayers and rest assured we will all continue to pray until you are at 100%!!!! I can't wait to see you again as I know you will continue to progress over the next couple of days! I'm glad to know that you were given at least one more week at rehab. Love, Mrs. B.

Garrett, It was great to see you today buddy! You look amazing! Everytime I go to see you, you look better and better. I know it will be anyday now! Thanks for the hug! That was awesome! Keep flicking those bottlecaps! I'll see you this weekend. Have fun listening to the game tomorrow. And keep up all the good work! I continue to pray for you everyday! You are such an inspiration to everyone. I know Ry loved seeing you today and I'll have to warn him since you are throwing that ball pretty good hes got some competition now, he might now be playing anymore! Have a good weekend! Love, Sarah D.

Hey Garrett! That football catch had to feel good. Good to know that your teeth are clean, too. Keep it up, Garrett! It WILL get better! As always, you're in my prayers. Bess Cochran

Garrett*I am waiting to hear about the meeting today..I hope that you get to stay at the Rehab Center(even though it would be cool to have you home). The Rehab is really helping you, and it is really a safe place for you to be right now. I wanted to let you know that I did a speech on your condition and that it went very well. Everyone seemed amazed at how much you have improved in the past months..but mostly in the past week! You are an amazing person! Seth saw that I had a "Pray For Garrett!" sign on my back pack yesterday..and he immediately asked me for one! So I made him one and gave me a big hug today thanking me! He really loves you Garrett..and I know it was hard for him to come see you last weekend! When Adam comes home, Seth, Adam, and me are all going to take a road trip up to see you! Adam comes home on October 24!!! I can't wait to see him! I know he will want to come up to see you! I wanted to come up this weekend, but I don't think I can know..I have a lot of things to do! I'm sorry, but hopefully next weekend I can get Seth and Steve to bring me up to see you talk!! Maybe you will learn something new!(hehe) When I got on here and read that you talked..my eyes got wet and I was sooo happy that I ran to tell my dad and Torie and Joey. They were soo happy for you Garrett! Jordy came up to me in school and gave me a BIG hug today! She is soo incredibly happy that you are talking! She told me that she taught you to say, "Hi Mom", and that your mom started to cry...Jordy is so sweet to you right now, and I hope you realize that when you wake up completely! Well I better be off! I can't write again till sunday, but Ill call jordy this weekend to see if I can talk to you! I love you Garrett!-love, Kaytie

Hey! I can’t tell you how proud I am of you. When Dave showed up at our soccer game, I had no idea he was coming. He ran over at half time, and I didn’t see him until he was an arms length away. Than he looked at me and said, “Garrett’s talking.” That was a moment I won’t soon forget. For most of the girls on my team, it was the first time they had ever seen me cry. Then Marikaye, Welker, Cindi, Jen, and I, couldn’t stop hugging and smiling. I was so excited. Senior Rec. for soccer went great, but what made my day was when I called and you said, “Hi, Katie.” It meant so much to hear your voice, and talk to your mom. Your family is truly amazing, and God has really blessed you with great parents and a wonderful sister! Garrett, I miss you, and Sunday morning I’ll be the first one there to see you. I can’t wait. Sunday won’t come soon enough. Love Always, KTE

Garrett, I am so glad to hear that you talked. You have made many improvements over the past weeks. We are all praying for you and thinking of you. Keep working hard. Amanda Eaglehouse
