Garrett I love you. You have been a blessing to me and to my family. You make me smile and think all at the same time! Thank you for being so special. Being with you at the hospital and now the rehab has been a time of growth for all of us. Our lives will never be the same. We are learning more then we ever wanted to learn. Stretched in our faith. Dependent upon one another. Bound in love. Thank you for bringing so many people of all ages and backgrounds together. You certainly have shared God's love in the last 18 years. You continue to witness from a hospital bed daily. May the Lord be glorified in all you do. Your strength and steadfastness is an inspiration. I am so thankful the Lord put you in my heart several years ago. I am proud of you and love you dearly. Jan Mills

Dottie, One thing Liz mentioned last night was Garrett's desire for Lollipops and chap stick. I too had that need. From the oxygen my throat seemed to try and I guess from the feeding tub. I used to just suck on the sponge they used to wash my mouth out with just so I could get some water and wet my throat. And my lips seemed to dry. They didn't really want me taking drinks of water because my swallowing wasn't all there and they didn't want me to choke. But it felt so good as did the chapstick. So continue to offer him lollipops I'm sure they hit the spot for him. Carlene
